SHORT BIO:
Hailey Morrison is a middle grade writer, artist, and author of the Wattys 2022 Winning story: Plagium.
As a substitute teacher with a background in engineering, Hailey loves pushing her readers' imaginations through adventures and technology. She is currently working on the sequel to Plagium and a new sci-fi adventure!
Hailey lives in the Atlanta area, where she enjoys doing volunteer work, drawing, painting, sewing, carpentry, and (of course!) writing. She's always searching for new inspiration, and enjoys crafting new worlds!

I'm currently working on writing the sequel to my book A Curious Case of Plagium. Its title is A Curious Case of the Annulet. This sequel explores the steampunk countryside of Dnalgne and drops Tracey right into another twisting mystery! As I build the suspects, red herrings, and plot twists, my excitement builds for my readers to get a chance to read it!

I've recently participated in NaNoWriMo for the first time, and successfully completed a manuscript for a sci-fi adventure book! While I'm keeping most of its details under wraps, the project does have a name: Ivy and the Fluorescent Lightbulb. I cannot begin to even start with how fun this story was to write (I had a blast!), and how excited I am to get it in front of readers!

When I'm not working on either of the two books, I'm working on a webcomic entitled Exact Replica. It's been a challenge writing in the webcomic format, but I've been having fun discovering how to navigate the comic world!

Outside of all of the above writing, you can either find me planting new patches in my garden, stitching new clothes on a sewing machine, working on extensive house projects, or participating in my volunteer work! I enjoy having a variety of activities to work on!
